Jelly beans anyone?

f11.0 0.5 sec ISO 100 on a tripod using foam core board to reflect the light from a west facing window. I'm really enjoying photographing food but it's much harder than it looks....it seems to take a lot of different settings and angles to get what I'm hoping for, and even then I'll get a shot I like but it wasn't what I had in mind. Candy is especially fun to shoot because it's so colourful.

  1. Hi Kat,

I am learning about the blog format and starting to like it.

This your usual good idea, good eye for composition.

The focus is well controlled and the idea of action is transmitted to the viewer in an interesting fashion. ( I am expecting Beau to jump in there in the next second )

Yes it is colorful but the contrast is low and takes away the shading that is so important for the depth sense.

Also more contrast gives more richness to the colors.

All said " keep at it and learn some tech. stuff"

I am thinking about starting a group called
" Photo Buddies " to have a better communication and encouragement than the EPC

    Any thoughts on this subject.

    Serge
